If you are going to relaunch an automotive classic, what do you do? Well, if you’re VW Canada, and you’re launching the New Beetle, a mobile campaign seems like the most obvious choice. So, in collaboration with Red Urban  and PixelPusher, Bully! created some oversized augmentations (like 200ft x 37ft oversized) for markers placed in Yonge-Dundas Square, Toronto. There are some bus station installations too, all equipped with an AR marker and the image of the New Beetle.

That would probably be impressive enough. But not for Volkswagen, and certainly not for us. Not when we can make the New Beetle do cool things with our mad Augmented Reality skills.

You can watch the New Beetle burst out of its logo, zoom around a sweet half-pipe and head back home again. All very cool stuff.
